Focus Heating & Cooling has been in business for over 16 years, servicing the Mid-Willamette Valley and the Santiam Canyon. We are a small company made up of experienced people who take care of our clients in a timely manner with conscientious and quality work. We employ seasoned service technicians and quality installers that have been trained to meet our high standards for customer service and unmatched quality.
For both commercial and residential clients, Focus Heating & Cooling provides service for all brands and installation, specializing in heat pumps, A/C, gas and electric furnaces, and ductless units. Our customer satisfaction is very important and we will help our clients to make an educated decision to repair whenever possible or replace with the best suited option. Meet the Team
Danny Wilson
Lead HVAC Installer
Danny has worked at Focus Heating & Cooling for over ten years and worked his way to the lead install technician position. He holds a variety of certificates in ductwork, refrigeration, and gas installation.
When not working, Danny enjoys spending time with his family, which includes wife and three young daughters, working on his truck and camping. He has lived in the Stayton area his whole life and attends Foothills Church.
Brad Huberts
Company Rep
Brad is our lead home comfort representative. Born and raised in Michigan, he has lived in multiple states and cities throughout the continental United States. He began his career with Focus in 2019, helping with installs and learning the HVAC trade. Since 2020, Brad has been devoted to helping our customers find the right solutions to heat and cool their homes and work places. He has over 20 years of experience in excellent customer service and spent that time in various leadership, supply chain, retail and construction roles.
One of Brad’s passions is serving others. He has spent 100’s of hours volunteering his time in local projects for people with disabilities to aid in their mobility, street clean-ups, and different food banks. He spent a short time with the Stayton Fire Department and also spent over 5 years serving in the Colorado Army National Guard as a Black Hawk helicopter crew chief.
Janci Burns
Co-Owner
Janci takes credit for the name "Focus" to help remember that business is not what is important to focus on but to keep the focus on Christ and family. After several years away from being hands-on in the business, she has stepped back in and has developed a deep passion for keeping focus on the care of the Focus Heating & Cooling employees and customers.
Outside of the business, she has been married since 1998 to Focus Heating & Cooling owner Jason. Living on a farm with her husband, four children, parents, livestock, and pets makes for a busy life. While playing chauffeur to her kids and cheering them on in life brings her great joy. Photography and friends also bring a smile to her face.
Todd Smedstad St.
CSR/Dispatcher
Todd has been with his girlfriend Vicki for 17 years. Their biggest passion is going golfing. They enjoy the exercise they get while letting golf play us! Vicki has two daughters, Ginna and Sara, and two grandchildren, Asher and Kyler.
Todd was born in Silverton and grew up in the Willamette Valley and attended a small country school named Evergreen. It was a three-room schoolhouse that taught 1st-8th grade. He then went to Silverton High School, where he graduated in 1983. He was married for 15 years and I have one son named TJ.
He is a dog lover. Raised around dogs and they have been a part of his entire life. He enjoys helping customers find resolution for the issues they are having. By scheduling bids and service calls, Todd is able to interact directly with our customers which will build value and loyalty to help Focus Heating & Cooling to continue to grow.
Daniel Fosmark
Installer
Daniel has been in the industry for a little over a year. He started off doing commercial HVAC and is now an HVAC install helper with us.
Daniel brings a positive attitude and drive to learn more and more about the trade. What he values most about Focus Heating & Cooling is how connected everyone is and how much they actually care about their employees. He is a resident of Stayton and loves to spend time with God, fishing, hunting, spending time outdoors and exploring.
Jason Burns
Owner
As owner of Focus Heating & Cooling, he has worked every aspect of the job from install to sales to management. His intent is to give information to the customer in order to allow them to make the best decision for themselves.
Tinkering on the farm, hiking, and enjoying the outdoors provides a well-earned breath of fresh air for Jason. He is also very involved at church and in the community.
Ken Barton
HVAC Install Manager
Ken is an HVAC service technician and installer working around the Santiam Canyon. He currently lives in Salem, OR with his wife of 35 years and they have raised six children together.
His work ethic is based on old-fashioned values of customer service and quality of work. Ken went for HVAC schooling at Universal Technical Institute in Arizona. He graduated as an Alpha Beta Kappa honor student and continues to take service classes to this day. Ken loves to use his 33 years of experience to teach the younger generations. In his spare time, Ken enjoys woodworking and hacking balls around the local golf course (weather permitting).
Brandee Graham
Office & Finance Manager
Brandee has 20 years of experience in Office Management and Financials. She was born and raised in the Willamette Valley and has lived in the Stayton/Scio area for the last 13 years. Brandee has
a passion for customer service and enjoys working for a company that values their customers and employees.
In her personal time, Brandee enjoys spending time with her six children and seven grandchildren. When time allows, she also enjoys all aspects of the outdoors including, hunting, fishing, camping, hiking and hanging out at the lake.
